Job Description
Finegreen are supporting a large healthcare organisation in the appointment a senior Estates and Facilities professional, who significant experience at Director level within the NHS both from a leadership and project delivery perspective. The client is looking for a Chartered Engineer or chartered member of a relevant institution such as IOB, IHEEM, IET, IMechE, or CIBSE.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide resilience and technical competence at senior level, assume the role of strategic lead for planning and executing commissioned infrastructure initiatives, ensuring that the projects are delivered on optimisation of value and benefits to all stakeholders within an agreed robust governance framework;
Empower and motivate the team to deliver the workload set in the increasingly complex and financially constrained environment set;
Monitor and control the funding of all commissioned projects against its overall capital allocations from bidding, business case development, delivery and completion routinely checking and forecasting spend against budget and completion timings;
Provide effective oversight and stewardship to the entire capital programme, individual projects through the lifecycle from initiation to closure and be responsible for engaging and informing all stakeholders, ensuring that every phase of the project is executed seamlessly in line with brief and objectives;
Accountable for regulatory compliance of all projects and for alignment with all HTM’s/HBN’s unless derogations authorised and signed off by associated stakeholders;
Own and manage all project health and safety obligations, compliance with the Building Safety Act and all statutory safety related regulation;
Oversee and manage technical service lines within the business that are innovative, motivated and fit for purpose for delivering major projects. Technical service lines should contain knowledge, skill and experience that work efficiently and ensure effortless and flawless communication, avoiding misinformation.
Ideal Candidate:
Chartered Engineer or chartered member of a relevant institution such as IOB, IHEEM, IET, IMechE, or CIBSE.
Commercially aware, perseverant professional with a strong track record of building and maintaining excellent strategic and operational relationships with colleagues, customers, stakeholders, external contractors and regulators with proficiency to accurately communicate complex information and data to audiences confidently, clearly and simply.
Must have Director level experience recently within a similar role within the NHS.
