Director Housing Strategy
My client is seeking a Director of Housing Strategy who’s main responsibilities will implementation of key programmes and projects that will underpin the continuous improvement of the Housing Service in support of the Corporate Director of Housing, Housing DMT, and the Service Improvement Board and Programme
Duties Includes:
Strategyto lead the councils and drive forward our mission to create safe, sustainable, and inclusive communities.
In this pivotal role, you’ll provide clear leadership and direction across our key housing services, including:
Housing Needs & Refugee Services – ensuring people in need of support are given the right pathways to secure, stable homes.
Private Sector Housing Agency – working with landlords and tenants to raise standards and protect vulnerable households.
Housing Partnership & Service Improvement Team – forging strong partnerships and championing innovation to continuously improve our services.
Support and develop partnership working, including acting as an effective ambassador and advocate across the Council and with external organisations.
Be fully conversant with relevant statutory provisions and take a strategic view of the Council’s constitution, processes, and procedures.
Ensure timely and relevant advice and information is given to Members generally and build effective working relationships with the Leader and relevant Portfolio Holders.
