Job Description
Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Despatch Manager for a well-established Transport company. The company is based in The Slough, Berkshire area.
Job Summary
The company is a very well established, professional, warm and friendly company to work at. They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatch Manager to run their pallet delivery operation with 12 vehicles and over 200 pallet deliveries and collections a day. The ideal candidate will possess experience in HGV or courier operations and coordination, excellent customer service skills, good administration skills and organisation skills essential in a busy environment.

* Good geographical knowledge of SL and UB Postcodes and surrounding counties
* Transport filing systems
* Driver coordination
* Driver allocation
* Great communication skills and the abilities to deliver clear and precise instructions

Requirements
* Proven experience in pallet or parcel distribution
* Familiarity with transportation management systems
* Ability to assess operational performance and implement improvements.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
* Ability to supervise a team effectively, promoting a positive work culture.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration across departments and with customers.
Working hours are Monday - Friday
