Job Title: Dispatch Operative

Location: LE12 (commutable from Markfield, Coalville, Loughborough)

Salary: Up to £14.00 per hour

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm

The Company:

A well-established manufacturing company based in Leicestershire, operating a busy Goods In and Despatch department. Renowned for its bespoke products and recognised as a market leader in fabricated metal products, the company has built a strong reputation for quality, precision, and reliability across the industry.

The Dispatch Operative Role:

As a Goods In Operative, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, ensuring all incoming deliveries are received, checked, and processed accurately. Working as part of a busy Goods In and Despatch team, you will help maintain stock accuracy and ensure materials are available to support production and dispatch operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and unloading incoming deliveries safely and efficiently
Checking deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes
Inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies and reporting any issues
Booking stock into the warehouse management system
Labelling and storing stock in the correct warehouse locations
Supporting stock control and inventory accuracy
Assisting with container unloading when required
Supporting both Goods In and Despatch operations as required
Operating Counterbalance Forklift Truck (essential)
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Following all health & safety procedures at all times

About You:

Previous experience in a Goods In, Warehouse Operative, or Stores role
Experience checking and booking in deliveries
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (essential)
Strong understanding of stock control and warehouse processes
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A proactive, hands-on approach with a positive attitude
