Disrepair Surveyor (RICS Essential) | £46.12/hr
High-Rate Contract Opportunity in the Luton Area
We are urgently seeking a highly experienced and RICS-accredited Disrepair Surveyor to join our team on a critical contract. This role focuses on the complex and sensitive area of Housing Disrepair claims within the Luton and surrounding areas.
This role demands a meticulous professional capable of managing the full lifecycle of legal claims, from initial instruction through to court requirements.

PAY RATE £46.12 per hour equivalent to a Daily Rate £392.02 per day (based on an 8.5-hour day)
Location Luton Area (Mix of site work and office-based duties)
Contract Temp to perm (Immediate Start)
Full Driving Licence is Essential
YOUR MISSION: DISREPAIR & LEGAL COMPLIANCE
This is a balanced role, split 50% on-site and 50% in the office, focusing heavily on technical assessment and legal documentation.
Claim Management: Lead the technical response to all incoming Letters of Claim from the courts/solicitors regarding housing disrepair cases.
Site Inspections (50%): Conduct detailed and accurate surveys and inspections of properties across the Luton patch to assess the validity and scope of the disrepair claim.
Technical Reporting: Produce comprehensive, legally defensible Schedule of Works and detailed reports that fully comply with court requirements and Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
Sign-Off Process: Ensure all required documentation and reports are accurately prepared and signed off following site inspections, ready for formal legal submission.
Legal Liaison (50%): Serve as the technical expert for legal teams, professionally responding to General Legal Enquiries and providing advice on housing disrepair cases, ensuring deadlines are strictly adhered to.
MANDATORY CRITERIA (APPLY ONLY IF YOU MEET ALL)
RICS Accreditation: MUST BE RICS ACCREDITED (MRICS/FRICS) – this is non-negotiable.
Disrepair Experience: Proven, demonstrable experience specifically managing Housing Disrepair claims and dealing directly with claimant solicitors/court procedures.
Compliance: You must hold a valid Asbestos Awareness Certificate (UKATA or IATP) and a current Basic DBS Check.
Mobility: Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel frequently across the Luton area.
