Job Description

Distillery Maintenance Electrician Speyside/Moray Dayshift - salary up to £57.5k Are you a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to join a dynamic engineering team in Moray? NT Highland are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Electrician to support a busy process/distilling operation where reliability, safety, and continuous improvement are at the heart of what we do. Why This Role? As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you’ll be part of a proactive team responsible for keeping essential electrical systems and equipment operating safely and efficiently. You’ll work across a range of machinery and process infrastructure, making this a varied and engaging role within a well known employer in the region. Key Responsibilities Maintain and repair electrical systems, control panels, drives, motors, and associated equipment. Ensure electrical SOPs, safety procedures, and QHSE standards are followed at all times. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner to minimise downtime. Support installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance activities. Work with PLCs, instrumentation and control systems to maintain high process availability. Participate in on-call rota and out-of-hours breakdown support. Work collaboratively with production, engineering and technical teams to drive continuous improvement. What We’re Looking For Completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent electrical qualification. Strong track record in electrical maintenance within industrial or process environments. Competence in 18th Edition wiring regulations. PLC and instrumentation experience advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team. Good communication, organisation and time-management skills.
