Job Description
2020 Recruitment are working with our Hull based distribution client who are looking to add a Distribution Team Leader to their to their depot on a 3 month contract.
The successful candidate will be working 4 days per week/12 hour shifts. On rotation, day shift; 6am-6pm, night shift; 6pm-6am with potential for overtime available.
The Role
The main responsibility of the Team Leader is assisting in the coordination and provision of well-trained Driver Resource in the Hull Terminal meeting customer and operational requirements. The position will also occasionally have responsibility for some basic HR-related activities where appropriate, such as note-taking in meetings.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Team Leader your duties and responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring Company’s and Legislative Safety Standards and processes are complied with and maintained at all times on sites, and for personnel and vehicles that the position is responsible for.
* Ensuring O ‘Licence Compliance – to include Truck Maintenance, Net Defect Reporting, Tachograph Compliance and Record Keeping.
* Supervising the daily activities of all Drivers within remit.
* Managing and Planning the Holidays of all personnel under their Supervision and
* providing resource for holiday cover as well as liaising with Schedulers on Resource
* Availability for daily/weekly scheduling.
* Providing Support to investigate matters of a potential Disciplinary nature, and to provide note taking support in Disciplinary Hearings.
Requirements
To be considered for the Team Leader role you must have the following experience:
* Previous experience of managing a team
* Experience of a similar role
* People management skills
* Must have the right to work in the UK
Package
As the Team Leader you will be offered the following:
* Hourly rate of £16.62 PAYE
* 3 month contract
* 4 on 4 off shifts
* Holiday pay accrual
* Pension contributions
* Overtime
