We're Hiring - Document Controller (Construction / Infrastructure) Location: Norwich (initially 100% remote, then on-site from Oct/Nov 2025) Contract: 6 months initially (strong potential to extend through 2026) Start Date: 28/07/2025 - 30/01/2026 Hours: 40 per week Pay: £17.30 per hour We're recruiting on behalf of a respected client delivering major infrastructure works in Norwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to play a key role on a significant construction project. 🚨 Essential (Non-Negotiable) Experience / Background Must come from a construction or infrastructure background - no exceptions. Proven experience using Aconex (or an equivalent construction project management/document control software). Ideally experience on large-scale construction projects - e.g. national projects such as Crossrail, HS2, or large local infrastructure (roads, rail). The Role You'll be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of project documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and accessibility for all stakeholders. Initially, you will work 100% remotely, with occasional visits to service centres for meetings. From October/November 2025, your primary base will be on-site in Norwich. Key Responsibilities Documentation Management: Oversee document workflows via Aconex, maintaining accuracy and compliance with project protocols. Tracking & Distribution: Process all incoming and outgoing documents through Aconex and SharePoint, ensuring proper tracking and version control. Register Maintenance: Maintain registers, manage revisions, and archive in line with best practices. Review Coordination: Use Bluebeam Revu to support review cycles and facilitate feedback. Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure smooth, compliant document handling. Process Implementation: Support the setup and monitoring of document control processes in line with quality and contractual requirements. On-site Support: Ensure document procedures are effectively followed during construction activities. Requirements Essential: Background in construction or infrastructure (absolutely required) Strong Aconex skills (or equivalent construction-specific document control software) Proven track record in Document Control on large projects Strong organisational and communication skills High attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Desirable: SharePoint experience Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards Experience in site-based or contractor-facing roles Training in quality or records compliance If you meet the essential criteria, this is your chance to contribute to a major infrastructure project and potentially secure work through the whole of 2026.
