About the Role:
We are seeking a Document Controller to provide cover for a large, busy project based near Ipswich. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient document creation, review, and submission to the client (Northern Grid for the BTNO Project). You will work collaboratively with all project disciplines (H&S, E&S, Ops, Quality, Project Management) to manage and control all project documents and workflows, ensuring accurate registration on BIMDocs, and secure storage of information/correspondence. You will also provide subject matter expertise and coaching on the use of BIM360, SharePoint, and other information management platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Provide document control cover for a large, busy project near Ipswich.
*
Work with all project disciplines to ensure efficient document creation, review, and submission to the client (NG).
*
Manage and control all Ops project documents and workflows, ensuring accurate registration on BIMDocs and storage of information/correspondence.
*
Liaise accurately with site teams, subcontractors, customers, and external suppliers.
*
Provide subject matter expertise and coaching on the use of BIM360, SharePoint, and any other information management platforms.
Key Skills / Experience Required:
Essential:
*
1 to 2 years experience in Construction Document Control.
*
Proficient in IT systems and EDMS used in documentation control – BIM360, SharePoint, Aconex, ViewPoint, BC.
*
Experience of document control processes.
*
Understanding of BIM and digital tools, including a working understanding of ISO19650.
*
An ability to understand how the operations of the department relate to others and work collaboratively to obtain the best outcome for the business.
*
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organisation.
*
Good interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed at all levels across the business and be able to negotiate and influence.
*
Knowledge of Master Document Registers and general Document Control processes.
Desirable:
*
Experience of working on a variety of project types.
*
Proficient on O365.
*
Holds a current driving license
