Job Description
A leading Main Contractor is seeking a highly experienced Document Controller to join their team on a multi-project portfolio, office-based role requiring strong communication skills, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to manage complex documentation workflows across multiple platforms.
You’ll be working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring all project documentation is accurate, compliant, and efficiently managed using various EDM systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain project documentation across multiple platforms (e.g. Asite, Aconex, Viewpoint, SharePoint)
* Set up and configure document control systems for new projects
* Ensure version control, naming conventions, and metadata standards are consistently applied
* Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth document flow
* Maintain document registers, trackers, and audit trails
* Provide training and support to project teams on internal systems and EDM platforms
* Support compliance with ISO standards and project-specific protocols
Requirements
* Minimum 6 years’ experience in the construction industry
* Proven experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong working knowledge of multiple EDM systems (e.g. Asite, Aconex, SharePoint, etc.)
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – client-facing experience is essential
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Familiarity with digital workflows and document control best practicesBefore You Apply
