We are recruiting for an experienced Team Manager - Domestic Abuse Housing & Support Services to lead a dedicated team providing high-quality, trauma-informed support to women and children experiencing domestic abuse in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner, senior support worker or manager to take on a leadership role within accommodation-based domestic abuse services. You will provide strong, compassionate leadership to a team of Survivor Advocacy Support Workers, ensuring survivors receive safe, personalised and empowering support while helping your team develop their skills, confidence and professional practice. Working closely with the Head of Service, you will contribute to the ongoing development of services, build effective partnerships with statutory and community organisations, and help ensure services remain safe, effective and responsive to survivor needs. About the Role As Team Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and quality of accommodation-based support services. Your responsibilities will include: Leading the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed and survivor-centred services to women and children. Ensuring support is tailored to individual needs, strengths and risks. Promoting effective safeguarding, risk management and safe working practices. Line managing, motivating and developing a team of Survivor Advocacy Support Workers. Providing effective supervision, reflective practice and case support. Supporting recruitment, induction and ongoing staff development. Fostering a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture. Building and maintaining strong relationships with partner agencies. Representing the service at multi-agency meetings and forums. Contributing to service development, planning and innovation. Ensuring survivor voice and feedback informs the development of services. Overseeing accurate data collection, recording and reporting. Supporting quality assurance and continuous improvement. Promoting good data protection and information-handling practices within the team. Ensuring organisational policies, contractual requirements and relevant legislation are followed. Promoting a strong culture of health, safety and wellbeing.You will also contribute to organisational development and training and undertake other reasonable duties appropriate to the role. About You We are looking for an experienced and compassionate leader who is passionate about supporting women and children affected by domestic abuse. You will have: Experience supporting survivors of domestic abuse and/or people with complex needs. Experience in a leadership, senior practitioner or supervisory role. Experience of safeguarding, risk assessment and case management. Experience of working effectively with partner agencies. Experience of working with diverse and marginalised communities. A strong understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children. Knowledge of homelessness and the housing and support options available to women and children. Knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment processes, including DASH/MARAC. An understanding of trauma-informed and survivor-centred approaches. Awareness of the barriers faced by different communities. Strong people management, leadership and communication skills. The ability to manage competing priorities and oversee effective service delivery. A flexible, collaborative and solution-focused approach. A compassionate, non-judgmental and empowering approach.Qualifications You will ideally hold a relevant qualification, or have equivalent experience, in domestic abuse, social care or a related field. Management training or experience is desirable, although a willingness to undertake appropriate management training will also be considered.
