As a Door Fitter / Carpenter, your day-to-day will involve precision installations and repairs across wooden, metal, and fire-rated doors. Whether you’re reading specs, collaborating with trades, or handling fittings solo, you’ll be part of a supportive team that’s big enough to feel secure, but still carries the feel of a small family-led business.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Installing wooden, metal, and fire-rated doors, including frames, locks, and closers
* Reading drawings and specifications to deliver accurate fits
* Repairing damaged doors and upgrading hardware
* Measuring, cutting, and prepping bespoke materials
* Maintaining tools and observing health & safety practices
* Working solo or with a collaborative on-site team
What You’ll Need
* Experience as a door fitter, carpenter, or joiner
* Skilled with hand and power tools — saws, chisels, drills
* Solid understanding of carpentry techniques and fire door regulations
* Physically fit and confident, working on varied job sites
* Attention to detail, with a proactive and dependable approach
* Full UK Driving Licence preferred
Bonus Credentials
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery
* CSCS card or Health & Safety certification
* Experience across domestic and commercial maintenance projects
Salary & Benefits
* Salary: £36,000–£38,000, based on experience
* £100 weekly on-call allowance + minimum 4 hours’ pay per call-out
