Drainage Engineer

Birmingham outskirts

£40k-£45k plus benefits

Our client is a thriving engineering consultancy based on the outskirts of Birmingham. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Drainage Engineer to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in drainage design, ground modelling and external works to contribute to a varied portfolio of retail parks, business parks and industrial developments.

The successful candidate will be confident using PDS, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage and will have the opportunity to become involved throughout the full project lifecycle. Responsibilities will include the preparation of highways and drainage designs, planning submissions and supporting legal and technical documentation.

Experience working with highways Section Agreements, together with an understanding of Flood Risk Assessments, would be highly advantageous.

Working closely with a senior engineer, the successful candidate will receive ongoing technical support, mentoring and exposure to a broad range of projects. Our client is keen to invest in career development, making this an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to build their technical expertise and progress within a successful consultancy.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in drainage design, ground modelling and external works
Proficiency in PDS, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage
Experience working on commercial, retail or industrial developments
Knowledge of highways Section Agreements and Flood Risk Assessments
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to project delivery
