GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join a welcoming school in Swinton. Role Overview:
As a Drama Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages, introducing students to dramatic techniques, script work, improvisation, and stagecraft. Your role will focus on cultivating creativity, building self-esteem, and encouraging collaboration through both practical and theoretical drama education.
Responsibilities as a Drama Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive Drama lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Inspire students to explore drama through performance, analysis, and creative expression.
Prepare students for practical assessments, showcases, and school productions.
Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment where all learners feel valued.
Contribute to extracurricular activities, including drama clubs, rehearsals, and events.
Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support development.
Requirements for the Drama Teacher role:
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or a related subject.
Experience teaching Drama in a UK school setting.
Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
A passion for performing arts and empowering young people through creativity.
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
