What You’ll Do:
Deliver engaging, dynamic, and creative Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring all students develop strong performance and analytical skills
Design and implement imaginative lesson plans that foster creativity, self-expression, and confidence, tailored to diverse learning needs
Promote an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued and inspired to take risks in their learning
Lead and coordinate school productions, workshops, drama clubs, and community arts events that encourage wider student participation
Support students’ personal and academic development through the arts, helping them build transferable skills like teamwork, communication, and resilience
Collaborate with colleagues across the curriculum to enrich the wider school cultural life and cross-curricular initiatives
What You Bring:
A degree in Drama, Theatre Arts, Performing Arts, or a related subject
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE preferred; however, we warmly welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and enthusiastic unqualified teachers looking to build their experience
Proven experience teaching Drama at the secondary level, with a track record of inspiring students and raising attainment
Genuine passion for theatre, performance, and youth development, with a natural flair for motivating and engaging young talent
Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with parents and the wider community
