Draughtsman – Structural & Architectural Steel
Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Salary: Up to £45,000 (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
I'm working with a well-established steelwork company based in Sittingbourne who are looking to bring an experienced Draughtsman into their growing team. The company works across both structural and architectural steelwork, delivering high-quality fabrication and installation across commercial and industrial projects.
We are looking for a Draughtsman with a solid background in steel detailing who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:

Produce detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for both structural and architectural steel components.
*
Create GA drawings, erection drawings, and fabrication drawings to high levels of accuracy.
*
Ensure all drawings are fully coordinated with design requirements and project specifications.
*
Generate accurate Bills of Materials and CNC data as required.
*
Liaise with engineers, project managers, and workshop staff to ensure seamless project delivery.
*
Work closely with clients and design teams to ensure technical compliance.
*
Amend and revise drawings as required during the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Draughtsman in the steelwork industry.
*
Experience working with both structural and architectural steel is essential.
*
Proficient in Advanced Steel (AutoCAD Advanced Steel package).
*
Able to interpret structural engineers’ and architects’ drawings and turn them into fabrication-ready drawings.
*
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
*
Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
