Now Hiring: Dressmaking Assistant / Sample Cutter
Location: Gravesend | Salary: £12.50/hour (Temp-to-Perm) or £22,750/year (Permanent)
Job Type: Full-time | Hours: 35 per week | Start: IMMEDIATE
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Dressmaking Assistant to join our friendly design room team. If you have a passion for fashion, an eye for detail, and experience working with dress patterns and bespoke garments - this could be your perfect next step!
Key Responsibilities:
Cutting paper dress patterns for new and bespoke designs
Assisting with the development of innovative, modern samples
Preparing and packing samples for factory production
Keeping the design room clean and organised
Supporting with admin duties, including booking dress grades in/out
Working closely with the design team to meet production timelinesRequirements:
Minimum 2 years of industry experience (preferred)
Good understanding of both written and spoken English
Ability to work Monday-Friday (No weekend work!)
Basic to advanced sewing skills a strong advantage
Must be highly organised, reliable, and able to multitaskWorking Hours:
Flexible start: Either 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
or 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
No more than 35 hours per week
