Job Description

VGC Group are currently recruiting for an experienced General Driver to join a project based in OX18, Oxford. 

This is a great opportunity for a reliable and hard-working driver looking for work, with consistent weekday hours and the potential for weekend work. 

We are looking for someone who can start promptly, work well as part of a team, and support site operations to help keep the project running safely and efficiently. 

Pay Rate: £17.38 per hour PAYE 

As a General Driver on site, your responsibilities may include:

Safely transporting materials, equipment, and personnel to and from site
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles are maintained in good condition
Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries
Supporting site teams with general duties when required
Ensuring compliance with all site and road safety regulations
Planning routes and managing time efficiently to meet site requirements
Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and collections
Carrying out any other duties as required to support site operations

To be considered for this role, you must have:

A valid full UK driving licence
Previous experience working as a driver, ideally within a construction environmen
A good work ethic and positive attitude
The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Good punctuality and reliability
