Driver Technician

Location: Ipswich
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Pay Rate: £12.77 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Driver Technician to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, providing an essential service by delivering and installing medical equipment for customers across homes, hospitals and schools.

Successful candidates will receive two weeks of in-house training before working independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  * Delivering medical equipment to homes, hospitals and schools.

  * Collecting medical equipment when required.

  * Installing and assembling equipment, including beds and other small medical aids.

  * Demonstrating the safe use of equipment where necessary.

  * Completing delivery and collection paperwork accurately.

  * Providing excellent customer service at every visit.

  * Ensuring the company vehicle is kept clean and roadworthy.

  * Following all health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  * A valid DBS certificate is essential.

  * A full, valid UK driving licence.

  * Ability to provide two professional references.

  * Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving medical equipment.

  * Confident working independently after completing training.

  * Reliable, professional and customer-focused.

Additional Information:

  * Pay: £12.77 per hour.

  * Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm.

  * Contract: Temporary to Permanent.

  * Once you secure a permanent position, your working pattern will change to Tuesday to Saturday.
