Job Description
Our client is a leading fuel delivery company based in Thetford, and they're looking for a Driver Trainer.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver driver onboarding and ongoing training programs
* Conduct post-accident and incident investigations
* Monitor and improve driver performance, including tachograph and working time compliance
* Provide driver briefings and toolbox talks
* Support traffic office functions, including planning and administration
* Carry out vehicle checks and ensure safety and compliance standards are met
* Provide cover and support in cases of unscheduled driver absence
* Promote best practice in health, safety, and environmental standards
Skills & Competencies:
* Strong knowledge of transport compliance and regulations
* Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills
* Good IT skills with the ability to analyse data for reporting
* Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage drivers
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining compliance standards
* Experience in managing conflict and fostering a positive team environment
Qualifications & Experience (preferred):
* HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
* Previous experience as a Driver Trainer
* ADR and PDP qualifications
* Driver CPC
* SAFED, ROSPA, or equivalent training qualification
* Experience in multi-drop or fuel distributionBefore You Apply
