Drivers Mate / Jetting Assistant
Rochford, Essex
£25,000 to £29,000 plus package

Due to continued growth in our clients utility division, we are looking to recruit experienced Drivers Mates to work alongside Drainage / Jetting Engineers working on maintenance projects within the water and utilities sectors.
ROLE:
You will be working as part of a two-person team, working with an experienced Drainage / Jetting Engineer to operate the companies Jet/ Vac and CCTV units. Your projects will include any number of drainage related issues, both reactive and planned.
Although you start at the depot you been appointed to, you will be mobile in a vehicle attending to all work activities, within various work sectors, including industrial, rail, utility, commercial, residential
Flexibility is required due to travel requirements.
CANDIDATE:
* You may already have previous experience working in the drainage or water industry, but this is not essential as full training will be given
* You can undertake training to become a successful Drainage / Jetting Engineer
* Also, as you need to operate machinery, excellent hand-eye coordination and concentration are essential skills
* Physical fitness and lots of energy.
* Must have a valid driving licence with no more than 3 points
* An in date CSCS would be advantageous – however this could be obtained is necessary
To work in the Utilities industry, you may have to compete with inclement weather outdoors. Protective clothing such as a hi-vis jacket, boots, and a helmet are provided and you may be asked to travel to different sites. The workday starts early, especially during the summer, when there is light in the morning but drains can be blocked at any hour of the day and emergency assistant can often be needed.
