About the Role Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority for a Driver’s Mate to join the Logistics and Warehouse Team in Pontyclun.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital part in supporting the local community helping ensure essential equipment is safely delivered and collected for individuals who rely on it in their day-to-day lives.
You will be working alongside drivers, warehouse staff, and logistics managers to keep operations running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Assist drivers with the delivery and collection of community equipment within scheduled timescales.
Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
Support the warehouse team with picking, storage, and stock handling.
Maintain excellent customer service when interacting with clients, carers, and partners.
Follow all Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments, and Safe Systems of Work.
Work as part of a team to achieve service and departmental goals.
Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and equipment handling.
Assist with the relocation of furniture and other manual tasks as required.Requirements Essential:
Experience working with customers and as part of a team.
Ability to work to deadlines in a hands-on, active environment.
Commitment to safe working practices and following correct procedures.
Willingness to learn and take instruction from team members and management.
Basic Welsh Language Level 1 (or willingness to undertake induction training).Desirable:
Knowledge of Community Equipment Products.
Familiarity with the Pontyclun / South Wales area.
Welsh Language Skills at Level 2 or higher.Additional Information
A Standard DBS Check is required for this position.
Training and induction will be provided.
