* 5 on, 3 off shifts, 7am starts
* Induction: Monday 23rd June 2025
Challenge-trg Recruitment: Mansfield Hub are working in partnership with Currys to recruit for a number of experienced Drivers Mates to join their teams based out of Newark, Nottinghamshire.
Duties of the Role:
* Collecting goods from the depot
* Lifting and carrying white goods from the vehicle into properties, ensuring strict adherence to Health and Safety at all times
* Delivering to customers (white goods, wet and dry), ensuring excellent customer service and professionalism at all times
* Assisting the driver with navigation
* Contacting customers via phone to advise of arrival times, etc.
* Completion of paperwork to a high standard, ensuring accurate information is recorded
* As the face of ‘Currys’, this role is key to ensuring that excellent customer service is delivered from start to finish
Desirable Experience:
We are seeking candidates who have previous experience working in a similar role, and who are committed and reliable. This is a long-term opportunity, working on a fixed 5 on, 3 off rota (which will include weekends), therefore only candidates looking for a long-term, permanent position who can commit to this pattern should apply.
We are seeking candidates who have a good work ethic, a love for customer satisfaction and who are able and willing to handle heavy goods in a safe manner.
Shift Pattern:
The Company offers a rota to all colleagues, providing them with consistent shifts. The shift pattern is a 5 on, 3 off shift rota. Therefore, candidates must be aware that some weekend working will be required. Only candidates able to commit to a 5 on, 3 off shift pattern should apply.
Hours of Work:
Shifts start at 7am and typically last between 8-10 hours, depending on routing, traffic, etc.
Rate of Pay:
This role pays £12.27 per hour, paid weekly in arrears for the first 45 hours worked. Overtime is paid at £18.40 for all hours worked thereafter.

Induction / Start Date:
The induction for this wave of new starters will be carried out on 23rd June 2025 in Newark at 9am, and we are looking for candidates who can start work straight away following this induction. Please only apply if you are able and willing to start work on rota immediately. The induction is paid, following completion of your first shift.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of the role, all candidates will be required to undertake a DBS check which will be processed and paid for by Challenge TRG.
