Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Dry Lining Site Manager to join a dry lining subcontractor on a £2 million project based in Southampton.

This is a long-term freelance opportunity, with works due to run for approximately 12 months and an immediate start available.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for managing the dry lining package on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard of quality. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team, subcontractors and main contractor throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  * Overseeing day-to-day site operations

  * Managing subcontractors and site labour

  * Coordinating works in line with programme requirements

  * Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained on site

  * Conducting site inspections and quality checks

  * Attending site meetings with clients and contractors

  * Monitoring progress and reporting to senior management

  * Managing materials, deliveries and site logistics

  * Resolving site issues and coordinating solutions efficiently

  * Ensuring works are completed to specification and deadlines

Requirements

  * Proven experience managing dry lining packages

  * Strong site management and organisational skills

  * Ability to manage programmes and subcontractors effectively

  * SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid certificates required

  * Strong communication and problem-solving ability
