DT / Art Teacher
Alternative Provision Setting | Immediate Start or September 2025
Are you a creative and compassionate DT and/or Art Teacher with a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people facing medical or emotional challenges?
We’re working in partnership with a highly respected alternative provision that supports pupils unable to access mainstream education due to medical and mental health needs. This setting provides a therapeutic, inclusive environment where students are encouraged to re-engage with learning at their own pace — and we’re looking for a talented teacher to join their dedicated team.
Location: South London - Southwark
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
Contract: Permanent contract
Pay: £42,000-£55,000
The Role - DT/Art Teacher
* Deliver engaging DT and/or Art lessons tailored to individual student needs (KS3–KS4)
* Support students with a range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) or medical needs
* Foster creativity, confidence, and self-expression through a therapeutic teaching approach
* Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, and families to ensure holistic development
About You - DT/Art Teacher
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with experience in DT and/or Art
* A nurturing, patient, and adaptable teaching style
* Previous experience in SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision is highly desirable
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* Passionate about inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners
