A high-achieving, forward-thinking secondary school in Oxford is looking for an innovative and ambitious Design Technology Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their growing Technology team from September 2025.
About the School

DT Department
With modern workshops, 3D printers, CAD/CAM suites, and laser cutters, the department delivers Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, and Textiles across KS3 and KS4. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that encourages innovation and hands-on learning.
Your Role
Deliver engaging lessons across multiple DT disciplines at KS3 and KS4; promote design thinking and real-world problem solving; manage practical work safely and effectively; and support students in national competitions and STEM challenges. You’ll also benefit from peer coaching and regular CPD aligned with ECT development.
Ideal Candidate
You hold a DT-related degree and are due to achieve QTS by July 2025. You’re passionate about teaching practical subjects, enjoy working with young people, and bring creativity and structure to your lessons.
