Roles & Responsibilities
As a DT Teacher (Engineering), you will:
Teach Design & Technology with a focus on Engineering across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and theoretical lessons that spark curiosity and innovation.
Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of all learners.
Prepare students for assessments and support them in achieving their academic goals.
Maintain a safe and organised workshop/classroom environment, promoting health and safety at all times.
Monitor, assess, and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and extra-curricular opportunities.
The Successful DT Teacher Will Have:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with a specialism in DT/Engineering (ECTs are encouraged to apply)
Experience teaching Engineering or related DT subjects up to Key Stage 4 (KS4)
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for engaging students in STEM pathways
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
