As a Design and Technology (Textiles) Teacher, you will:

Teach engaging and dynamic Design and Technology (Textiles) lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, inspiring them to explore the world of design, textiles, and fashion

Develop and deliver creative and practical projects that enhance students’ skills in design, sewing, pattern making, fabric manipulation, and textile technology

Guide students through the design process, from initial concepts to final product, helping them gain confidence in both technical and creative aspects of Design and Technology (Textiles)
*
Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, experimentation, and independent thinking
*
Collaborate with a talented and supportive team to plan and deliver an exciting and challenging Design and Technology (Textiles) curriculum
*
Provide feedback and assessment that helps students develop their skills and reach their full potential
*
Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as fashion shows, design exhibitions, and other school-wide creative events

We are looking for an inspiring and creative Design and Technology (Textiles) Teacher who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching Design and Technology (Textiles) at secondary school level

Has a degree in Design and Technology, Fashion/Textiles, or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills and expertise

Is passionate about teaching Design and Technology (Textiles) and able to engage students in both the creative and technical aspects of the subject
