Job Description
A well-regarded, forward-thinking secondary school in Basingstoke is looking for an exceptional DT Teacher to join its thriving Technology department in September 2025. This role would suit an innovative DT Teacher with a drive to inspire students in all aspects of design and engineering.

Your responsibilities as a DT Teacher will include:

Teaching DT (Product Design, Graphics, or Resistant Materials) across KS3–KS4.

Inspiring students with hands-on, engaging projects that promote technical skill and creativity.

Preparing students for controlled assessments and written exams in DT.
*
Collaborating with fellow DT Teachers to ensure cohesive curriculum planning.
*
Maintaining safe, organised, and fully equipped learning environments.
*
Encouraging participation in design competitions and exhibitions.
*
Providing additional support for students pursuing careers in engineering or design.
*
Participating in departmental CPD and school-wide improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile:

A relevant DT-related degree and QTS.

Strong subject knowledge across a range of DT specialisms.

Ability to motivate students and model excellent project work.
