An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and motivated Design Technology Teacher to join a thriving and forward-thinking secondary school in Basingstoke. This full-time, permanent post starts in September 2025 and is open to both experienced Design Technology Teachers and well-prepared ECTs.

The Design Technology Teacher will be joining a well-equipped department that supports creativity and innovation across product design, resistant materials, and CAD/CAM.
As a Design Technology Teacher, you will:

Teach Design Technology to Key Stage 3 and 4 students

Create lessons that combine technical skill with creativity and critical thinking

Manage workshop safety and ensure student projects meet high standards
*
Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and assessment materials
*
Support the planning of DT exhibitions, STEM challenges, and community projects
*
Track student progress and intervene where additional support is needed

Collaborate closely with your DT colleagues and wider school teams
