Opportunity for Additional Responsibility for Experienced Candidates
A respected and academically strong independent school near Wells is seeking a Design Technology Teacher to join their growing and well-resourced DT department from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent post suitable for an experienced teacher or an enthusiastic ECT.
The department is known for its emphasis on sustainable design, innovation, and hands-on making. The successful candidate will teach across KS3–KS5, with opportunities to support student projects involving CAD, product design, 3D printing, and materials science.
Candidate Essentials
*
Relevant degree (Design Technology, Product Design, Engineering)
*
QTS and teaching experience across secondary age groups
*
Confident using CAD/CAM tools such as Fusion 360, AutoCAD, or similar
*
Practical knowledge of resistant materials, electronics, or textiles beneficial
*
Ability to support the school’s ethos of creativity and curiosity
