A welcoming 11–18 secondary school in the Forest of Dean is recruiting a Design Technology Teacher to start in September 2025. This full-time position would suit a specialist in Resistant Materials, Engineering, or Product Design with a flair for practical teaching.
You’ll teach DT at KS3 and KS4 and help expand the school’s STEM and design provision. The department boasts laser cutters, 3D printers, and a suite of CAD/CAM equipment.
Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, project-based learning in DT and Engineering

Help develop schemes of work aligned to OCR and AQA specifications
*
Maintain health and safety in workshops and manage technician support
*
Lead co-curricular activities such as design competitions and maker clubs
Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold a DT or Engineering-related degree and PGCE/QTS

Be passionate about hands-on, applied learning

Be proactive in working with industry links and community events
