Key Responsibilities
As our Design & Technology Teacher, you will:
* Deliver high-quality, engaging, and challenging Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, inspiring intellectual curiosity and practical mastery.
* Guide students in developing advanced design thinking processes, material knowledge, and manufacturing techniques.
* Provide robust academic and pastoral support to students, including university application guidance for A-Level.
* Innovate teaching methodologies to ensure all students reach their full creative and technical potential.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the DT curriculum and departmental resources, embracing new technologies and industry trends.
* Engage with the wider school community through co-curricular activities, projects, and events.
Who We Are Looking For
* A strong academic background in Design & Technology or a related design/engineering field.
* Extensive experience teaching DT successfully across Key Stage 3 and 4 in the UK is essential, with A-Level experience being highly desirable.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly desirable, but candidates with significant UK teaching experience who do not hold QTS are warmly encouraged to apply.
* A proven ability to inspire and challenge high-achieving students in a practical and theoretical context.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with a strong emphasis on workshop safety.
* A commitment to the ethos of an outstanding school and fostering a supportive, innovative learning environment.
