Job Title: Design & Technology (DT) Teacher

Contract Type: Full-time (term-time only)
Salary: £160+ Daily (D.O.E)
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier by negotiation)
Veritas Education are searching for a passionate and creative DT Teacher who thrives on making a real difference. Our client are a forward-thinking Alternative Provision school in West Drayton, dedicated to supporting young people who require a more personalised and nurturing approach to education. We are looking for an inspiring Design & Technology Teacher to join their committed team and help transform the lives of our students.
About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity to teach DT in a setting where innovation, patience, and resilience are key. You will work closely with a small group of students who may have faced challenges in mainstream education, delivering engaging, hands-on learning that fosters both practical skills and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons (resistant materials, graphics, or other DT disciplines depending on your specialism)
Differentiate teaching to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH and other additional needs
Promote a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment
Support students in achieving recognised qualifications (e.g., Entry Level, BTEC, GCSE)
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support holistic student developmentWhat We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) - ECTs considered
Experience teaching DT (in a mainstream or alternative provision setting)
A flexible, creative approach to teaching
Strong classroom management skills and emotional intelligence
