Job Description
Astro Education is working with a school in Crewe and is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher to cover a maternity leave from December 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to teach in a unique and forward-thinking educational environment.
The Role
*
Teaching predominantly KS4 with some KS5 lessons.
*
Main focus on Design Technology and CAD.
*
Delivering CAD lessons using SolidWorks – experience with this software is highly desirable.
*
Engaging, motivating, and challenging students to reach their potential in a specialist technical college setting.
Who We’re Looking For
*
A qualified secondary teacher (QTS/QTLS), or FE lecturer or experienced teaching Design and Technology in other educational areas, willing to adapt to a KS4 classroom environment.
*
Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology and confidence in CAD (SolidWorks).
*
A collaborative teacher who is passionate about preparing young people for technical careers.
*
Someone who brings creativity, enthusiasm, and high expectations into the classroom.
