 Location: Secondary School, Tower Hamlets
 Contract: Full-time, term-time only
 Start Date: As soon as possible

Are you a practical, organised, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting creativity and innovation? Our vibrant secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated Design & Technology Technician to join our DT department.

About the Role:
 As our DT Technician, you will play a key role in helping the department deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences. You will support teachers and students across a range of DT specialisms, ensuring lessons run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing, maintaining, and organising materials, tools, and equipment for practical lessons

Providing technical support during lessons, including assisting students with machinery and practical tasks

Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring all equipment complies with health and safety regulations

Carrying out routine maintenance and basic repairs on tools and machinery

Helping to manage stock levels, ordering supplies when needed

Supporting departmental displays, projects, and extracurricular activities

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working in a school DT department or workshop environment (preferred)

Practical skills across areas such as woodworking, metalwork, electronics, or CAD/CAM

Good understanding of health & safety procedures

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

A proactive, hands-on approach and a willingness to learn
