Join Our Dynamic Secondary School as a DT Technician
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Design & Technology Technician to support our outstanding DT department starting in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of a creative and forward-thinking team in a well-resourced and supportive school in the London Borough of Bromley.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, maintain, and organise tools, materials, and equipment for practical lessons across a range of DT disciplines (including Resistant Materials, Graphics, Textiles, and Food Technology)
*
Assist teaching staff during practical lessons, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment
*
Maintain high standards of health and safety in all workshops and practical spaces
*
Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on tools and machinery
*
Support pupils in developing practical skills where required
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*
Previous experience in a school workshop or similar technical environment (desirable but not essential)
*
Strong practical skills and an understanding of DT equipment and processes
*
A commitment to safe working practices and a sound knowledge of health & safety requirements (e.g., COSHH, CLEAPSS)
*
Good communication and organisational skills
*
A willingness to learn and contribute to the wider school community
