Design & Technology (DT) Technician - Secondary School - Bexley
Immediate Start | Full-Time | Long-Term | Competitive Pay (PAYE)
Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic DT Technician to join the Design & Technology department at a welcoming secondary school in Bexley. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately, offering a fantastic opportunity to be part of a creative and supportive team.
Your Responsibilities
Prepare, set up and maintain tools, equipment and materials for DT lessons (including woodwork, metalwork, and graphics)
Support teachers and students during practical sessions and demonstrations
Maintain a safe and organised workshop, ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed at all times
Carry out routine maintenance of equipment and machinery
Assist with stock management and ordering supplies
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a technician (preferred but not essential)
A keen interest in Design & Technology and supporting student learning
Strong organisational and communication skills
A proactive, flexible approach and ability to work as part of a team
A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
