Job Title: Duct Fitter (CSCS Blue Card Holder)
Location: Cambridge
Job Type: Full-time / Contract
Salary: £25.00 per hour
Reporting to: Site Supervisor / Project Manager
Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Duct Fitter with a valid CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, fitting, and maintenance of ductwork systems on site in a hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Install and fit ductwork systems (rectangular, circular, and spiral) in accordance with technical drawings and site specifications.
*
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble ducting using hand and power tools.
*
Ensure all work is carried out to industry standards and complies with health and safety regulations.
*
Work alongside other trades and contractors to ensure smooth progress on site.
*
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
*
Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure proper function and fit.
*
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
*
Report any issues or discrepancies to the site supervisor promptly.
Requirements:
*
Valid CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card (Ductwork Installation).
*
Proven experience in duct fitting on construction or HVAC projects.
*
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Ductwork Installation (HVAC).
*
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
*
Strong understanding of health & safety regulations on construction sites.
*
Good physical fitness and ability to work at height or in confined spaces.
*
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications:
*
IPAF or PASMA certification.
*
Asbestos Awareness (UKATA approved).
*
Manual Handling and Working at Height training.
*
Own tools and PPE.
Working Hours:
*
Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 5:00pm
*
Overtime may be available and paid accordinglyBefore You Apply
