Job Title: QC Engineer - E&I
Location: Reading
Rate: £45/hr (Outside IR35)
Clearance: SC clearance desirable; must be eligible to obtain
A leading contractor working on a high-profile project in a regulated sector is seeking an experienced QC Engineer (E&I) to support ongoing site-based activities in Reading.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements across Electrical & Instrumentation scope
Support provision of Lifetime Quality Records, System Information Sheets, and O&M documentation
Liaise with project, construction, commissioning teams, and third-party inspectors
Provide technical support for E&I quality matters and inspections
Maintain documentation within the company's Business Management System
Raise Continuous Improvement Forms and support root cause analysis
Promote quality improvements and support completions team meetings
Contribute to a strong HSE culture on site
Requirements:
Strong E&I and QC background
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001
Able to read and interpret electrical schematics
Experience in regulated sectors (e.g. nuclear, oil & gas)
Proficient in MS Office
Good communication and reporting skills
Qualifications:
C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection
CSCS card (essential)
Current SC clearance (desirable) or eligible to obtain
