Job Description
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate tutors in the Reading area to work with young learners who are new to the country and need support predominantly with their reading, listening, speaking, writing, comprehension, and grammar. They would also accesss basic maths support and local geography awareness.
Some students may have UASC (Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Child) status and will benefit from emotional encouragement alongside language instruction. Your support can be a vital part of helping them settle, grow in confidence, and access education.
About the Role:
Provide tailored 1:1 or small group tuition in English language skills.
Help students improve fluency, understanding, and confidence in using English.
Deliver structured lessons focusing on communication, literacy, and grammar.
Offer a warm, supportive environment.. particularly for those adjusting to a new life in the UK.
Flexible working hours to suit your availability.
You Might Be:
CELTA/TEFL/TESOL qualified (or similar)
Experienced in working with young EAL learners
Empathetic and culturally aware
Passionate about making a difference through education
