We are currently seeking a full-time Early Years Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive nursery setting in Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in early years or a newly qualified candidate looking to develop hands-on experience in a professional childcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting children’s play, learning, and development in line with the EYFS framework
Assisting with planning and preparing activities that promote development
Supporting key workers in observing and recording children’s progress
Promoting a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment
Supporting children with personal care and hygiene needs
Building positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
What we’re looking for:
A minimum of 6 months experience working with children in an early years or nursery setting (voluntary or paid)
A Level 2 or above qualification in Childcare / Early Years (or working towards one)
A positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong team spirit
A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Reliable, punctual and committed to supporting young children’s development

Eligibility – Please ensure you can answer YES to the following:
Do you have at least 6 months of experience working with children in the UK?
Do you hold, or are you working towards, a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years?
Are you confident supporting children’s learning and wellbeing in line with the EYFS framework?
