Job Description

Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher Pay: £90-£110 per day Full-time/ Term Time only Haringey, North London Are you passionate about early years education and experienced in working with deaf children? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Teacher of Deaf Children and Young People (EYFS) to join our inclusive and forward-thinking team. Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher Role: Is a qualified teacher (QTS or EYTS) with a recognised qualification in teaching deaf children (or willing to train) Has experience teaching within the EYFS framework, ideally with deaf or SEN learners Demonstrates a strong understanding of early language development and communication strategies for deaf children Values inclusive practice and is committed to enabling all children to reach their potential Has excellent interpersonal and team-working skills Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher Requirements: Plan and deliver differentiated EYFS curriculum for deaf children using a Total Communication approach (including BSL, SSE, and speech, as appropriate) Promote spoken language, sign language, and listening skills based on individual needs and EHCP targets Work collaboratively with speech and language therapists, audiologists, teaching assistants, and families Monitor and assess pupils' progress using appropriate early years frameworks and assessments Create a safe, stimulating, and language-rich environment that supports early development and inclusion Engage parents/carers as partners in their child's learning journey If you're interested in this Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher role, please contact Alexandra Mayhew-Lewis at Veritas Education APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR VERITAS EDUCATION All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained You must have legal right to work in the UK You must be willing to attend a registration interviewVeritas Education work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area.
