Job Description

Are you a passionate and experienced Early Years Practitioner looking to make a real impact in a warm, nurturing, and child-centred school? PK Education is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a caring and inclusive nursery and infant setting that places children at the heart of everything they do. Their ethos is built on curiosity, creativity, and ensuring every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to thrive. About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner with substantial nursery experience to join a highly committed early years team. This role is central to creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment where children can explore, grow, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality provision in line with the EYFS curriculum. Plan for and extend children’s learning through purposeful play and enriching interactions. Work confidently with small groups to support learning and development. Contribute to an inclusive, caring environment that promotes independence and well-being. Attend to children’s personal care needs, including nappy changing. Ensure the setting is prepared and welcoming before children arrive. Requirements A DfE-recognised Early Years qualification is essential (to be counted in ratios). Extensive nursery experience – this role is not suited to candidates whose backgrounds are primarily in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework. Ability to engage, motivate, and extend children’s learning through high-quality provision. Reliability and professionalism – working hours are before 8:30am until around 4pm. Why Work Here? You’ll be joining a team who believe in nurturing the whole child, celebrating individuality, and providing a rich early years environment where curiosity and exploration are encouraged every day. The school is committed to teamwork, continuous development, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for staff and pupils alike. How to Apply If you are enthusiastic, experienced, and ready to make a meaningful contribution to an inspiring early years setting, PK Education would love to hear from you
