Early Years Practitioner (Interventions role) Contract: July 2026 (likely to extend) Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday (8:30am - 4:30pm) Start Date: ASAP start Location: Leyton, Waltham Forest We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive 4-form entry primary school in Leyton to recruit a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their reception team. This is a long-term contract until July 2026, with a high chance of extension for the right candidate. You'll play a key role in supporting early learning and development, both inside the classroom and through targeted group work. Your week will be split between: 2 days working in-class as a Reception Early Years Practitioner, supporting high-quality provision and play-based learning. 3 days delivering small group interventions and targeted activities across Reception, helping to boost language, phonics, and early number skills. The Ideal Candidate: Holds a Level 3 Early Years Qualification (or equivalent) Has experience working within an Early Years or Reception setting Must be experienced and is confident delivering interventions and supporting phonics, early literacy, and numeracy Brings energy, patience, and enthusiasm for learning through play Works well as part of a team and builds positive relationships with children and staff Why Tempest Education?
