Academics in Canterbury are seeking inspiring and dedicated Early Years Teachers to work with children in Nursery and Reception classes across a range of lovely schools in areas including Canterbury, Thanet, Dover, Whitstable/Herne Bay, Folkestone/Hythe, and surrounding villages. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences tailored to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and supported Observe, assess, and record children's progress, and use this information to inform future planning Support children's personal, social, emotional, and communication development Work closely with teaching assistants, parents/carers, and other professionals to support children's individual needs Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school's values and ethos Contribute to the wider life of the school, including outdoor learning, celebrations, and eventsWhat We Are Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with Early Years experience A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach Flexibility to work across different schools and settings Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to child welfare Right to work in the UKHow to Apply: If you're interested in becoming an Early Years Teacher in East Kent, we'd love to hear from you.
