The Role - Early Years Teaching Assistant As an Early Years Teaching Assistant working through Academics, you will: * Support children aged 3-5 in their learning, play, and personal development. * Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils, including those with additional or special educational needs. * Assist with personal care routines, including toileting, feeding, and changing, while maintaining children's dignity and comfort. * Encourage independence, communication, and social interaction through play-based learning. * Work alongside the class teacher and Early Years practitioners to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment. * Support with behaviour management using positive and nurturing approaches. * Contribute to observations and assessments to support children's progress. * Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for every child. About You To be considered for this Early Years Teaching Assistant position, you should have: * Previous experience working with young children, ideally within an Early Years or nursery setting. * A caring, patient, and compassionate approach to supporting children's needs. * Confidence in assisting with personal care and understanding of hygiene and safeguarding procedures. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * A positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for early childhood education. * A Level 2/3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or equivalent Why Choose Academics?
