About the Role
An inclusive and welcoming primary school in Lambeth is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team. Starting as soon as possible, this is a fantastic opportunity to support young learners during a crucial stage in their education.
The successful Early Years Teaching Assistant will work alongside the class teacher to create a nurturing, stimulating learning environment where children can develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS activities.
Work one-to-one and with small groups to encourage early learning progress.
Promote language development, creativity, and social interaction.
Assist in preparing resources and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
Encourage independence and curiosity in young learners.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as an Early Years Teaching Assistant or in a nursery/Reception setting.
A solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years (preferred).
Patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting young children.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
