Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full-time, starting September 2025
About the Role:
Join a warm and supportive primary school community in an Early Years classroom. You'll work closely with the teacher to deliver engaging, hands‑on learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that foster early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
Provide one-to-one and small‑group support, including for children with additional needs or special educational needs (SEN)
Observe and document children's development, progress, and interests.
Help manage behaviour positively and consistently to maintain a calm and safe learning environment.
Support transitions between activities and routines, indoors and outdoors.Person Specification:
Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (e.g., CACHE, NVQ) or equivalent experience working with children.
Sufficient experience working within EYFS or Reception.
Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum.
Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and staff.
Calm, patient, and enthusiastic approach, with positive behaviour management techniques.
