Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Littleover, Derby Salary Range: £90 - £110 per day (Depending on experience) Start time: Immediate Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time  Are you passionate about shaping young minds and creating a nurturing start to a child’s educational journey? An inviting and supportive primary school in Littleover is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team. If you love working with young children and want to make a real impact during their most formative years, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities within the EYFS curriculum. Provide one-to-one and small group support to children, encouraging development in key areas such as communication, social skills, and early numeracy/literacy. Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment. Assist with personal care routines and transitions throughout the day. Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to learning journals and assessments. Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and carers to support each child’s development. Requirements: Experience working in an early years or nursery setting. A relevant qualification in childcare or education (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning or Early Years) is desirable. Understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices. A warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
